TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK IS HERE!

 Today we celebrate Ms. Matthews!!!! We hope this gift “Lights up the Night” on her desk, and the “Principal Survival Kit” (a lot of chocolate) keeps her laughing until the end of the year. 

Beyond being the wonderful, amazing, brilliant, hard working and fearless  leader of our beloved school, her leadership and kindness is unmatched.

She is often the last to leave and works tirelessly for every person in TRES. We are so grateful as a PTA to be able to be in her spaces and hosting these events, which would not be possible or nearly as awesome without her support.

 We celebrated School Lunch Hero Day and our incredible cafeteria team who keep our school running strong every day!

From  preparing meals to serving our students with care and kindness, they  play such an important role in supporting our school community. Their  hard work helps keep our students nourished, energized, and ready to  learn.

 Today we celebrated Bus Driver Appreciation Day and our incredible drivers who take care of our TRES students each and every day!

From the early morning pickups to the afternoon drop-offs, they are often the very first and last school connection our children have each day. 

They keep our students safe, greet them with a smile, and navigate every route with patience, care, and dedication. Rain or shine, traffic or tight schedules, they show up consistently for our school community, and their role truly makes a difference in our children’s daily experience.

From  the first warm greeting in the morning to the many calls, emails, and  behind-the-scenes tasks, they are the steady heartbeat of our school. They support our students, teachers, and staff, guide our families, and help keep everyone safe and cared for in so many countless ways.

Their patience, organization, and kindness make a lasting difference in our school community, and we are so grateful for all that they do! We appreciate you today and every day!

April is the Month of the Military Child, a time to recognize and celebrate  the strength, resilience, and adaptability of military kids in our community.

Did you know the dandelion is the official flower of the military child? Dandelions are known for their ability to grow and bloom wherever they are planted. Just like military kids, they face change with courage, put down new roots in different places, and continue to thrive wherever life takes them. 

And why do we wear purple? Purple represents all branches of the military, combining the colors of each service into one. 

Wearing purple is a simple way to show support and  appreciation for military children and their families. Join us in wearing PURPLE tomorrow (April 15th) to support the military students at Two Rivers Elementary!  

 This month, the PTA is celebrating our amazing media center librarians!

With National School Librarian Day on April 4, National Librarian Day on April 16, and a special birthday for Ms. V on April 2, we had plenty of reasons to show them some love!

We are so grateful for Ms. V, Ms. Olson, and Ms. Johnston, who inspire a love of reading and learning in our students every single day. These small tokens are just a little “thank you” for the big impact they make!

Last week, while our school community was enjoying a well-deserved Spring Break, April 1st marked Paraprofessionals Day—and we want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate these incredible members of our Two Rivers Elementary family.

Our paraprofessionals are truly the heart behind so much of what happens each day. They support our students with the utmost care and dedication, often working behind the scenes to ensure every child feels seen, supported, and successful.

Whether they’re helping in the classroom, providing one-on-one support, or stepping in wherever needed, their impact is felt in countless ways—and our school is stronger because of them.
